The new CEOs are virtue signaling about climate change. Their websites proudly proclaim their support of carbon reduction. Then, they tell their employees that they must return to the office. So they want to seem like they are reducing greenhouse gases, but are transferring the burden to their employees. If the job can be done remotely, allow it to be done remotely. If you can’t trust an employee to perform remotely, punish the underperforming employee, not the entire workforce
